• Primary hosting location: Odoo stores customer databases in the cloud region closest to your geographic region, including EU locations such as France or Belgium.
• Backups: Odoo replicates backups across at least three different data centers on multiple continents (e.g., Europe and Canada) to ensure redundancy and disaster recovery. Unfortunately, it's not possible to limit backup locations to within the EU alone.

Note: Although your primary data may reside in Europe, backups may still be stored in non-EU regions, which could have data protection implications under GDPR. This reflects Odoo’s multi-region backup architecture.

Because backups are stored across multiple countries, some outside the EU, we rely on:

• Adequacy decisions for EU-compliant countries
• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure GDPR-level protection
